Mitch Max is a co-founder and Managing Partner of DecisionVu, a specialized management consulting practice, focused on delivering measurable performance improvement. Mitch draws on over 25 years of experience both in consulting and management positions, with special expertise in the Financial Services industry.
Mitch’s experience is varied and deep. He has held a number of financial management positions in the banking industry, and led the Activity-Based Cost Management practice for the North American Financial Services industry at Arthur Andersen. In 2001, he founded The Performax Group, a Toronto-based specialist management consulting practice dedicated to performance improvement in the Financial Services industry. In 2006, Performax joined forces with another consulting firm to form DecisionVu.
Mitch works with organizations to improve their performance by implementing innovative financial management practices. These include customer, product and channel profitability; strategic cost management and reduction; advanced planning and forecasting; and the introduction of tools and processes to better monitor and manage performance. He is a frequent author, speaker and workshop leader.
Mitch combines research and practice into emerging financial management practices as he continually seeks for new and innovative ways to deliver value to his clients. Some of his current areas of focus and interest include capacity management, profitability analytics and driver-based forecasting as they apply in Financial Services.
Mitch’s clients include medium, large and global Financial Services organizations. He has worked with organizations such as Bank of Montreal, Charles Schwab, CIBC, Citigroup, Deutsche Bank, Dun & Bradstreet, First Data, HSBC, Manulife, MasterCard Worldwide, PNC Financial, RBC Financial, Sun Life, TD Bank, and Wachovia. He also partners with innovative software vendors to assist them in developing tools that provide value to his client base.
Mitch graduated from the University of Toronto in 1982 and is a Chartered Accountant. He resides in Toronto.
