Developing a Strategy with a Bias for Implementation
Last month, the American Strategic Management Institute held its Corporate Strategic Planning event here in Arlington, VA. This event examined many of the common reasons why corporate strategic planning fails, and offered solutions to align budgets, improve buy-in and communication and methods to implement and execute on strategy. One of the highlights at this event was Mark Friedman’s presentation on Developing a Strategy with a Bias for Implementation. Mark is the founder and president of Real Time Strategy, and he has over two decades of experience advising both for-profit and non-profit organizations on managing change and improving performance. His presentation focused on creating an understanding for the three critical components that create a bias for implementation and how to establish priorities for successful implementation.
