About the Presenters:
Mitchell Young is Director, Risk Management for TARGUSinfo. He joined the company four years ago and has helped to build the Risk Management practice, leveraging TARGUSinfo’s unique relationship with the US Telco Network and its On-Demand Information services to solve identity verification and authentication challenges for leading retailers, payment services, financial institutions and risk service providers.

Prior to TARGUSinfo, Mitchell worked at Strategic Management Group. He was a consultant to Fortune 500 companies including SAP, Panasonic, AOL, EDS and others for strategy and executive development issues.

Mitchell graduated with highest distinction & honors from the Pennsylvania State University. He holds an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business. He lives in Philadelphia with his wife and two children.


Mike Bates brings more than 22 years of fraud and risk management experience to Early Warning Services, where he serves as vice president, product solutions and manages the company’s payment and identity services. Prior to joining Early Warning, Mike was responsible for several Financial Institution and Retail risk and risk management products at eFunds, where he also launched various ACH and Check 21 solutions, including Electronic Check, Back Office Conversion, and RCK products. Additionally, Mike possesses a strong systems engineering background, as he was the lead systems architect for the SCAN and SCAN OnLine products before moving into product management at eFunds.
